About The Work
Despite its wry title, Embrace of Tradition finds Price once again deliberately forgetting the past. This conceptual print shows Thomas Edison's initial diagram of a lightbulb with the word "Light" superimposed on its upper left corner and a photograph of a flower crudely pasted onto its lower right corner. The two alterations to the diagram appear as imitations of intentionally bad technological manipulations that obstruct tradition.
