Andrea McGinty’s work embodies an obsession with self-care and it’s potential to mask symptoms of a larger crisis, echoing a generational lack of stability and economic immobility. Recent exhibitions include High Tide, Philadelphia, Hotel-Art.us, New York, Johannes Vogt, New York, Alter Space, San Francisco, Imersten, Vienna, Spring Break Art Show, New York, East Hampton Shed for Material DF, Mexico City, Beverly’s, New York. She is the author of God, I Don't Even Know Your Name, an erotic novella published by Badlands Unlimited, New York, NY (2015), and has been featured in publications such as Mousse Magazine, Modern Painters, Blouin ArtInfo, W Magazine, The Paris Review, and T Magazine.
