Carlos Azeredo Mesquita

Carlos Azeredo Mesquita is a visual artist working mostly with photography, as well as with printmaking, and the tools of graphic design. He has a particular interest in the relation between the legitimating power of photography and the issue of perception of truth, fiction, staging and context. He is formally trained as a graphic designer by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, and was a grant holder at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest, where he studied photography. His work is being exhibited and awarded both internationally and in Portugal.
