Working in printmaking, painting, and sculpture, French artist David Ancelin is interested in the relationships between original images and their reproductions. Using industrial fabrication techniques, as well as craft, Ancelin’s works distort and question the expected order. In addition to pursuing his own artistic practice, Ancelin founded Macumba Night Club Editions, which works with other artists to produce editioned prints.
Ancelin has had solo exhibitions at Musée de la Monnaie and Palais de Tokyo. Group exhibitions include Confort Moderne, Mamac, Mamco, and Mac/Val.
