Gabriel Jones

Gabriel Jones’ photographic and video work evolves around such themes as pseudonyms, “apatriotism”, geography, science, paleontology, time and sensitivity filters. Jones photographed ARCADE FIRE’S 8 album covers “The Suburbs” in collaboration with the band as well as art director Vincent Morisset and designer Caroline Robert. (GRAMMY AWARD for best Album Packaging, 2012; selected in AMERICAN PHOTOGRAPHY ANNUAL, 2011)


Gabriel also curated The Pseudonym Project New York / Paris. He invited a series of established and emerging artists, such as Robert Barry, Liam Gillick, Fouad Bouchoucha and Melanie Bonajo & Joseph Marzolla and Jonathan Monk to create new pieces under pseudonyms. The real names where disclosed at the end of the exhibition. His photographs where exhibited in venues such as the Photo España Festival; Paris Photo; Galerie Le Château d’Eau, Toulouse; as well as galleries Michèle Didier, Paris; Priska Juschka, New York and Bugdahn und Kaimer, Dusseldorf.
