Born in Calcutta, artist Rajorshi Ghosh works in relation to the surrounding world. His work offers a new perception of reality, showing the viewer a different way to observe a setting. While his works always incorporate the world around him, Ghosh frames settings to provide multiple views and dimensions, which challenge the real and offer a different type of exploration. Through photographs, installations, and videos, Ghosh forces the viewer to question the environment, setting natural beauty in an abstract light.
Ghosh has exhibited both nationally and internationally. He received an MFA from the University of California, Los, Angeles, and currently travels between Calcutta and Athens, Ohio where he teaches at the School of Art at Ohio University.
