Richard Healy

Richard Healy works in a range of media including video, sculpture, installation and print. His practice considers the relationship between art and design, simultaneously referencing recognised design histories as well as creating unrealised ones. Through digital technology, Healy creates fictional spaces, often accompanied by stories or parables, encompassing objects and props that suggest gay male erotic possibilities

''Embodied through simulations of design, my practice frequently engages with digital technology as a means for artistic production and with the acts  of labour that are obscured beneath the finish''

Healy studied MA Fine Art at the Royal College of Art 2006-2008 and BA Hons Interactive Art at Manchester Metropolitan University 2000-2003 and has received residencies from Acme Studios, Wysing Arts Centre and Kingston University. He lives and works in London.
