Romain Bernini

In Romain Bernini’s paintings ordinary graphite silhouettes wear extravagant, colorful primitive masks. His immediate narratives feature a collision between ordinary banality and mysteries of the exoticism. Bernini draws the beginning; allowing everyone to build his or her own story.

He has had solo exhibitions at institutions such as Frac Île-de-France, Centre d’art contemporain in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and Centre d’Art Contemporain de la Ville de Fontaine. His work has been included in group exhibitions at Villa Medicis in Rome, Cankaya Art Centre in Ankara, and UGM in Maribor, among others.
