Sarah Gamble

American artist Sarah Gamble makes paintings and collages inspired by her interest in the paranormal. Aliens, life after death, and other inexplicable phenomena are often the inspiration for Gamble’s images, which depict strange landscapes and alien beings that the artist conjures in her imagination. Though most of Gamble’s past work focused on landscapes, the majority of her recent work incorporates figuration and is whimisical, playful, and colorful.

Philadelphia-based artist Sarah Gamble was a Pew Fellow in 2009. She has exhibited her work at the (e)merge art fair in Washington DC, Fleisher/Ollman Gallery in Philadelphia, and The Painting Center in New York. She was a resident at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska and the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
