Seol Kwon

Seol Cheong Kwon is an emerging artist with a BFA from School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and a Postgraduate degree in New Media Art from the Haute Ecole D’art et Du Design, Genève. Her work can be broadly characterized as the investigation of the possible conversations between painting and photography, incorporating the abstracted feminist body as subject matter. The main themes of her work are consumerism, gender, race, and media identity politics traversed through the conflation of both traditional and contemporary visual communication mediums. She has exhibited in Zürich, London, New York, Karlsruhe, Berlin, and Geneva, among others.
