Sergey Lotsmanov

Behind the stimulating and beautifully bright colors of Sergey Lotsmanov’s watercolors and graphics lay an artist’s critical outlook of the world around him.  According to the Young International Contest of Cotemporary Art (YICCA), the major goal of the Russian artist’s work is the “investigation of the present day society with all its drawbacks.”  In manipulating the lighting of his spaces like Dead End or Waiting Room with intoxicating colors and distinct shading, he creates an art of tomorrow, believing the art and world of today is still in a state of darkness.

Lotsmanov has had numerous solo shows in Moscow in the last five years and his work has been shown in art fairs such as Artissima and Vienna Fair.
