Steve Carr

Steve Carr earned his MFA from the Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland, and continues to live in Auckland. He infuses elements of humor, sexuality, and childlike play into film, sculpture, and photography. He often performs in his own works, including Cowboys and Indians (2002), in which he is the only adult participating in the children’s dress-up game. He is also cofounder of the nonprofit Blue Oyster Gallery in Dunedin.
