Wu Tsang

Wu Tsang is a filmmaker, artist, and performer whose work is predominantly concerned with the queer and trans community and community-practices. Filled with adversity, fantasy, history, as well as explorations of communication, intimacy, and identity, Tsang's work often serves as a platform for her subjects. 


Her works have been included in the 2012 Whitney Biennial and New Museum Triennial, as well as the Hammer Museum's 2014 Biennial. In 2013, she won the Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grants to Artists award and in 2015, received the Creative Capital award.
