Antoni Malinowski

Antoni Malinowski works with pigment, light, movement and time, investigating the dynamic relationship that exists between pictorial and architectural spaces. He makes temporary and permanent interventions into buildings—paints canvases, walls, pavements, ceilings, and skirting boards, orchestrates performances through cities and structures, works with composers and musicians and takes an almost unseemly pleasure in the perceptual emotive and physical properties of color.

Since his acclaimed 1997 show at Camden Arts Centre, Malinowski has collaborated with several eminent architects on permanent projects in architecture, ranging from engineering color for facades to complex wall paintings. He has shown at a number of international venues including Camden Arts Centre, London, Chisenhale Gallery, London, Kuuenstlerhaus Glarus and the 2004 Architectural Venice Biennale, among others.
