Carl Ferrero

CJF is an artist whose experimental paintings, drawings, collages, and sculptures blur the line between subject and object. Slyly referencing and revealing the process of its own making, the work engages a variety of social, political, and cultural issues. Currently, they are at work on an autobiographical project called Mixtape.

Carl Ferrero was born in a farming town in New Jersey and now resides in New York City. Carl has had solo exhibitions at Feature Inc., Vox Populi, Envoy Enterprises, Saint Anthony's Basement, Kathleen Cullen Fine Arts and has contributed work to shows at Artist’s Equity, Bronx Museum of the Arts, Artists Space, The Elizabeth Foundation, LACE, Exile, and Artenova in Italy. Ferrero received an MFA from Brooklyn College, was awarded a Pollock Krasner Foundation grant, and fellowships from the Millay Colony, the AIM program, and the Foundation for Contemporary Arts. Ferrero will begin the Master of Social Work program at Columbia University in 2021.
