Carlos Bonil

Carlos Bonil was educated at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá. He is an interdisciplinary practitioner who has worked as a sculptor, video artist, curator, and musician. His wry, meticulous sculptures are created using repurposed technological waste and detritus. He is also the front man of Mugre, an experimental hardcore band in which he performs alongside his brother Germán, and for which he creates new instruments and unusual sounds using outdated electronic equipment, household appliances, and other cast-off materials.
