Carolina Antoniadis

Carolina Antoniadis was born in Argentina, in 1961. She attended the Escuela Nacional Prilidiano Pueyrredon, in Buenos Aires. Since the 1980s she has held several solo exhibitions around the world. Among the awards and recognitions she has received, she got a grant form the Fundación Antorchas and the Fondo Nacional de las Artes, in Argentina, in 1999. In 2006, she published the book Domus Referencial, and presented an exhibition related to the publication, at the Centro Cultural Recoleta, a renowned institution in Buenos Aires.
In the words of art critic Ana Maria Quijano: "Carolina Antoniadis has managed to build a strong career as an artist, and as a designer. When the oscillation and exchange in between the two disciplines were still not common, Antoniadis was able to maintain a balanced presence in the design world, even as a teacher, as well as in the art scene, with the baroque ornamentalism of her paintings."
