Clare Doveton

Clare Doveton creates dreamy landscape paintings that reference impressionists like Claude Monet with color palettes in the vein of Mary Cassatt. Doveton received her BFA from Parsons School of Art and Design in New York City. Doveton has served on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Zen Center, and decades of meditation practice play a key role in her work. She was the Featured Artist for the Lawrence Arts Center Benefit Art Auction in 2015, and now also serves on their Board of Directors. She has been nominated for the Kansas City Collection, and selected for the Hunter Museum of American Art Spectrum Exhibition. Doveton’s paintings have been featured in Present Magazine, Farmhouse Magazine, Studio Visit Magazine, Ink Magazine, The Journal, The Kansas City Star, Spaces Magazine, KC Metropolis, First Intensity Magazine, and Lawrence Magazine. Doveton’s work can be found in private and corporate collections internationally, including The Art of Emprise, Quest Financial, New School University, NOVA Financial, Truman Medical Center, One Light, KU Medical Center, and Tradewind Energy.
