George Platt Lynes

George Platt Lynes [b. 1907, East Orange, New Jersey, USA; d.1955, New York] began photographing his circle of artist friends in Paris and New York. The attention he garnered eventually led to fashion shoots for major magazines and department stores. In the 1930s, he began to work with the Kinsey Institute, which now holds the largest collection of his male nudes.
