Jean-Félix Bourdette

Jean-Félix Bourdette is a Franco-Gabonese sculptor and designer born in Libreville, Gabon on November 19, 1994.

He was 19 when he left Gabon in 2013 to settle in France to continue his secondary studies.

Jean Félix realizes that the racism he has suffered since his arrival in France is in part due to the lack of information on his native country and its culture, he then decides to undertake a process aimed at promoting this ancestral culture in a contemporary language.

It is from this union of past and present that his first OKUKWE.RC sculpture was born.

Like the sculptures of his ancestors, the objects he produces have a dual purpose: they are both accessories and works of art.

Through his work, Jean Félix tries to open the doors of Gabon to the world thanks to his sculptures with atypical shapes and dense colors.
