Lino Schwarz

Lino Schwartz is an Austrian-based artist that creates abstract paintings inspired by artists such as Joan Miro, Albert Oehlen, Neo Rauch, and Joe Bradley. Born to an American mother and Austrian father, Schwartz moved several times throughout his life. As a result of each move, Schwartz was dramatically affected by the change, which pushed him to pursue the unlikely path of his mother, who was an artist. Though he never studied art and was rejected from two prominent universities in Vienna, Schwartz continued to hone his craft with constant drawing and inspiration found in long distance calls with his father. In addition to his artwork, Schwartz is a successful tattoo artist who describes his work as “ignorant” and “crappy poetry.”

Schwartz's work has been in a solo exhibition at Gallery Hrobsky in Austria. Schwartz has also participated in local group exhibitions at Art Room Damani and Gallery St. Art.
