Norinne Betjemann

The photographic works of Norinne Betjemann feature architectural sites and monuments that are manipulated to suggest a temporal dislocation. Using techniques such as hand coloring, painting, and decaying the surface, the photographs take on an aged appearance creating an uncanny shifting of time.

Her work has been included in exhibitions at institutions such as Philadelphia Museum of Art, Delaware Centre for the Contemporary Arts in Wilmington, Virginia Foundation for Architecture in Richmond, and Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
