Tris Vonna-Michell

Tris Vonna-Michell studied at the Falmouth College of Art and the Glasgow School of Art. He is a performance artist and storyteller whose meandering narratives, such as Down the Rabbit Hole  (2006-07), incorporate slide projectors, scattered photocopies, personal correspondence, and other ephemera. The work narrates the tale of a feigned amnesia trek around Europe in search of an avant-garde poet and musician named Henri Chopin. His work is not fixed or permanent; accompanied by an egg timer that is meant to dictate their length, his stories are told in dimly lit rooms in which the audience may become part of the structure of the performance.
