Tulio De Sagastizabal

Tulio De Sagastizabal is an Argentinian abstract painter. Each of his works begins as a small hand-drawn module—a geometric shape or line–that the artist builds on spontaneously and unconsciously. He considers his practice to be a type of writing or visual text—“a continuous discourse, one that is nourished in its own making, that extends, that stammers, that begins again, that is never through.”

He has had solo exhibitions at institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bahia Blanca in Buenos Aires, Juan Yaparí Museum in Misiones, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Salta, the Museum of Contemporary Latin American Art in La Plata, and the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires.
