    About The Work

This unique work is from Dianne Blell’s highly stylized photographic series Desire for the Intimate Deity. These works investigate the universality of the idealized stages of courtship in the socio-ethnic and religious based mythology of Hindu folklore between Rada and Krsna. She uses thes figures as archetypes of the eternal human condition, in the “pursuit of love” and in search for the ideal union with "the divine.”
