    About The Work

Henrik Olesen’s work exposes structures of power and systems of knowledge throughout history, especially those that suppress homosexual identity. In this print edition the artist takes on this topic as it is represented by the mainstream news. Images and text from a page of the Daily Mail, London’s conservative tabloid, are cropped out and the paper is printed on both sides, giving the impression that the reader is missing something. In a font composed of nudes, Olesen has also written a question over the neoliberal noise that brings to light the media’s hegemonic identity narratives.
