About The Work

The work of British artist Keith Tyson encompasses painting, drawing, sculpture and large-scale installation. Frequently engaging with systems of order and complexity, including algorithms, computers and natural patterns, Tyson creates connections of knotted, spiraling web using image, line and color. This work is from his significant series Nature Paintings, which was created using a mixture of pigment and chemicals. Utilizing reactions and techniques such as temperature, hydrophobia and evaporation, Tyson created visual surfaces reminiscent of natural forms and sceneries.
