    About The Work

    “Mood, trust and accessibility dictate a lot in my work,” says Bronx-based photographer Kevin Amato of his highly personal and evocative style. Incorporating sexuality, socioeconomic status, race and fashion, Amato’s images reflect the heartbreak and levity of the city. In Pinball Elvis, the flash of Amato’s camera is caught in the reflection of a glitzy Elvis-themed pinball machine—gleaming off the pile of gold coins waiting to be released.
