    About The Work

    Vokovice, from Matthew Monteith’s Czech Eden, depicts a Czech kitchen. During his travels in the Czech Republic in the 1990s, Monteith found himself captivated by the quotidian details of life. This image shows his exuberance for the bright colors and decorative details of the space, as well his interest in the untold narrative hinted at by the posters on the wall.
