Matthew Pillsbury

Using only natural light, Matthew Pillsbury photographs both landmark architectural interiors, such as the Guggenheim museum, and domestic interiors lit simply by televisions and iPods. He distills a length of time into a single moment by using a long exposure, capturing minutes or hours in the blink of an eye. Held in many public museum collections, Pillsbury's work has been reviewed in The New Yorker, The New York Sun and numerous other publications. Additionally, he has been named one of the top 30 photographers by Photo District News in 2005 and continues to repeatedly make his mark on the art world.
