Zürcher Gallery, New York officially opened its doors in March 2009. It is the American sister-space of Galerie Zürcher, founded in Paris in 1992. Functioning together as an international art enterprise, Zürcher, New York focuses on emerging and mid-career artists from America, Europe, and Asia. Our lists of artists include Regina Bogat, Tom Doyle, Matt Bollinger, Kazuko Miyamoto, Pushpamala N., Huang Rui, Lynn Umlauf, Katharina Ziemke, Wang Keping, among others.
Cofounder Bernard Zürcher is an art historian and author of several works on modern art, in particular Georges Braque (Rizzoli, New York). He also created an international contemporary art prize for the Hôtel Le Meurice in Paris. Cofounder Gwénolée Zürcher, an expert in the field of Asian art, has translated several books on art, including Degas by Denys Sutton and New York 1945 – 1965 (l’Office du Livre).
