To create this bright print, Steve Miller took for his starting point an x-ray image of a soccer ball and cleats. But instead of preserving the image's monochromatic scheme, Miller infuses these objects with lively and celebratory shades of blue and yellow. Miller says of this work: "Futebol 14 embodies the color saturation that you see everywhere in Brazil, the sky and the sun, the clarity of the stars at night, and the insane passion of the people, whether it be for futebol or dance. Let the World Cup begin."
