Alison Rash

Alison’s current body of work explores the idea of absence and the relationship between compulsive and impulsive mark-making. Her work occupies the intersection between order, coincidence and manipulation. Her paintings, while appearing quite physical, are very light in paint application. Alison earned an MFA from Claremont Graduate University with a concentration in Painting, and an MA in Education and a BA in Art from Pepperdine University. She has exhibited her work throughout the U.S. including Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Dallas, Park City and Washington D.C. as well as internationally in Paris, Venice, Bogota, Mexico City, and Tokyo. Alison is a Los Angeles based artist who grew up in rural Nebraska and has recently relocated back to Lincoln, NE. She is represented by Adah Rose Gallery in Washington D.C and Gallery Mar in Park City, and is a member of Jaus Gallery in Los Angeles.
