    About The Work

The history of double-exposure photography can be traced back to the 1860s when William H. Mumler pioneered what he referred to as spirit photography. He would use a previously exposed negative while taking a portrait, and the resulting photo would appear to have a spirit in it. Like others in this show, Mizer has exposed the film in a way to make the monkey larger than life.
