This work was created as a benefit print to celebrate Bridgey Riley's major exhibition "Bridget Riley: Paintings from the 1960s and 70s" at the Serpentine Gallery in London in 1999. It is a paradigm example of Riley's dynamic "Op Art" style which toys with the viewers perceptions by inducing simultaneously shifting patterns of form and color for an engaging optical mixture.
