    About The Work

For over two decades, Charline von Heyl has used layering and replication to fuse disparate styles in her abstract paintings. These tactics translate particularly well to printmaking, a medium she has been working in since 2013. For example, this print’s brushed strokes feature a repetition of circular and oval shapes which take the anthropomorphic form of eyes or paws.
