    About The Work

This work was commissioned as part of a portfolio destined for an exhibition in Tokyo entitled 'A British Week 1970'. House described this work as 'a single idea related through a multi grid and known images from Japanese prints, particularly from Hokusai and to later masters of the woodcut. A keyline with fitted colour parts. A memory of a complex overprinting like a net mesh across a composition of the Japanese domestic interior with traditional figure'.
