    About The Work

San Francisco-based conceptual artist Guy Overfelt created this “exact” replica of Pablo Picasso’s famous Sujet Poisson earthenware vessel as both a stylish water pipe and a wry experiment in forgery. “The production process was a little shady,” says the artist, “as I never actually met the person who made the pieces. But they turned out a near perfect, fully functional Picasso bong.” Made in partially glazed terra-cotta and hand-blown glass, this whimsical piece stands up to use and adds an earthy note to the desktop or shelf.
