Barbican Art GalleryLondon
Based in the heart of the City of London, The Barbican is a world-class arts and learning organisation, pushing the boundaries of all major art forms including dance, film, music, theatre and visual arts. Its creative learning programme further underpins everything it does.
The Barbican has two exhibition spaces.
In the Main Art Gallery, they present the best of international visual art by leading photographers, artists, architects and designers of the 20th and 21st centuries: key players who have shaped developments and stimulated change.
These exhibitions either take the form of major solo exhibitions, or theme-based group exhibitions, across their 1500 square metre gallery space.
The Curve is the Barbican’s free exhibition space that wraps around the back of the Concert Hall. The Curve produces a programme of new commissions, working with leading international contemporary artists to create new site specific or site sensitive works, uniquely conceived for this architecturally distinctive gallery space.
