Founded in 1947 by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, David 'Chim' Seymour, and George Roger, Magnum Photos was created to reflect their independent natures both as people and photographers—the idiosyncratic mix of reporter and artist that continues to define Magnum, emphasizing not only what is seen but also the way one sees it. Magnum Photos is now the oldest surviving artists' cooperative in the world; a cultural powerhouse with a commercial edge, counting among its 50+ members some of the world's most respected photographers. With a constantly updated archive featuring some of the most iconic images of the 20th century, Magnum Photos continues to document the human condition on a global scale.
Magnum's Print Sales Department has continued to grow over the past 25 years, representing and promoting both vintage and contemporary fine photographs to private and public collections internationally. Working as private dealer in our New York office, and through public gallery spaces, The Magnum Print Room in London and The Magnum Gallery in Paris, our sales team is extremely knowledgeable in both the overall photographic market as well as specialists when it comes to our own artists.
Today, Magnum Photos represents the works of over 70 photographers, comprising a wide variety of imagery available as Fine Art photographs. All photographs are priced and sized depending upon the photographer, series, and edition information.
