    About The Work

Intrigued by cartography and its susceptibility to distortion, Paula Scher uses geography and architecture to exhibit her ability as a graphic designer to control and convey information. This screen print is from a series in which Scher depicts zany, meticulously detailed maps of major cities and countries. Here she considers India, made up of the colorfully twisted names of cities, rivers, regions and other landmarks.
