About The Work
This silkscreen was commissioned by the Jewish Museum in New York for its annual fundraising celebration in conjunction with the festive and colorful Jewish holiday of Purim. The subject for this print was taken from the Book of Esther in the Old Testament. This work is pencil signed, titled numbered from the limited edition of only 60. It was created in the late Sixties, one of the most influential eras in the Pop Art movement. Indiana silkscreens from the 1960s are especially desirable, and works from this edition are increasingly scarce, as so many are already in major museums and public collections.
