About The Work

In Camone, Tony Oursler paints a pool of vibrant green, collaged with a stray organ and a splattering of watery acrylic. Oursler is interested in the fragmentation of both the human body and psyche and is fascinated with how psychological conditions like Multiple Personality Disorder can be translated into a physical reality. Using a fragmented image of a bloodshot eye, Oursler hints at a hidden face among the textured green and grey paint, adding an abstract element to the work.
