Erick Johnson

Erick Johnson is an abstract painter.  He received his B.A. from Empire State College in Fine Art and an M.F.A in painting from the Milton Avery graduate school of the arts. He has been a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts as well as the Vermont Studio School.  He was a visiting artist at St. Mary’s College in Maryland where he also taught drawing. Recently he was a guest critique participant at Pratt Institute M.F.A. program. He has shown nationally including Whitespace Gallery in Atlanta and Geoffrey Young gallery in Great Barrington, MA.  He is represented by Heskin Contemporary in New York City where he had a solo show in September 2013.  He recently co-curated a memorial show for the artist, John Otte, at B Complex, Atlanta, GA.  Born in San Francisco, he lives and works in New York City with his wife and 8 year old daughter.
