Andrew Rae

As an Illustrator, graphic designer, and art director, Andrew Rae's work in television, advertising, and the fine-art world reaches a broad spectrum of audiences. A member of the multidisciplinary collective Peepshow, Rae has done work for the BBC, MTV Asia, Time Magazine, The Guardian, The New York Times, Die Zeit, American Express, Puma, and Sony, among other publications and brands. In 2007, his short film Stunt was screened on Channel 4 in the UK.

Perfect for the MTV generation, Rae's work is sophisticated and witty, at home both in Microsoft ads and at the Tate Modern, for which he produced a line of T-shirts, prints and books.

1. Who is your favorite artist?
Picasso. He got better as he got older.
2. What's on your iPod?
Jonathan Richman, Deerhunter, Beck, Warren Zevon, PJ Harvey, John Parish, Nick Cave, Barrington Levy, Department of Eagles, Howlin' Wolf, Devo, Talking Heads and Toots and the Maytals.
3. What's your preferred drink?
A pint of Landlord, followed by a glass of Laphroaig with a little water.
4. Who was your first love?
The girl next door.
