Harm van den Dorpel

Dutch new media artist Harm van den Dorpel explores abstraction, production and process in his mixed media work. Engaging with various systems of visual language influenced by the Internet, van den Dorpel’s highly conceptual installations, psychedelic sculptures and two-dimensional works appear simultaneously arithmetical and organic. Working with artistic algorithms, the artist combines recognizable icons and pictures with amorphous forms of the digital age.
