Ingo Günther is a journalist and new media artist known for visualizing statistical information in installations and digital media. Since 1989, Günther expanded the concept of the globe as a medium in both journalism and art. Other works have focussed on media access, refugees and most recently submarine conflicts. Günther's work has been shown at Nationalgalerie Berlin, the Venice Biennale, Documenta, and the Guggenheim Museum, among other prestigious international institutions.  Public and corporate collections include Obayashi Corporation, Tokyo, Japan; World Economic Forum, Geneva, Switzerland; Volkswagen Corporation, Germany; Town of Hoi An, Quang Nam, Vietnam; Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan; ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany, and others.
