James Franco

Often referred to as a modern-day "Renaissance Man," James Franco is an actor, artist, writer, and filmmaker. He has starred in major films, including Spider Man, Pineapple Express, Milk, and 127 Hours. In 2010 he published a collection of his short stories called Palo Alto: Stories by Franco. Some of his mixed-media art projects include Three's Company The Drama, an update to the sitcom using video and art that premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival; Unfinished, a collaboration with director Van Sant on two movies centered on River Phoenix that were presented at Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills; and Collage, a show he directed featuring live dance, theater, music and poetry that debuted at Stella Adler studios in New York.
