Jesper Just Bio

About The Artist

Film noir meets the Hollywood musical in the short films of Danish artist Jesper Just. His characters interrupt strange, shadowy rituals to pour their emotions out in song, often confusing gender roles in the process. His works have been seen all over the United States and Europe, at institutions including the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and the Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
