Kevin Hanley

Working predominantly in photography and video, the Los Angeles-based artist Kevin Hanley alters our experience of duration through atypical camera angles and subtle digital manipulation. Each one of his diverse subjects, which have included a dead dictator and a spinning skateboarder, seems to require its own unique process. Hanley has been in many international group exhibitions, including the 2003 Venice Biennial and the 1997 SITE Santa Fe Biennial, and has had solo shows as far afield as Tokyo and Cologne.
